OnePlus 10 Pro officially announced for Europe, launching in late March
OnePlus introduced the OnePlus 10 Pro in China back in January, but not outside of China yet. One reason for this is the software - OnePlus uses ColorOS 12 in China, so it didn't have to make too many changes to launch the phone in its home market.
OnePlus has now announced that it will launch the OnePlus 10 Pro in India, Europe and North America starting in March. A launch date has not yet been set, but the phone is expected to make its debut in the second half of the month. What's interesting is that the smartphone will ship with OxygenOS 12.1, with the update hopefully bringing bug fixes from the OxygenOS 12 build.
OnePlus also announced 2021 sales figures during the PK, noting that the company sold 11 million phones over the past year - a new record. The Nord series has sold 10 million units since its launch 18 months ago, with mid-range and entry-level devices accounting for a majority of OnePlus' global sales.
In terms of devices, OnePlus will have a busy launch schedule that includes its cheapest 5G device to date and the first phone with 150-watt fast charging -- both devices to be unveiled in Q2. There could also be a foldable device launching later this year or early next year. On the software side, the company will make amends with OxygenOS 13 , which is said to offer a clean UI reminiscent of pure Android.
