LineageOS is by far the most popular custom ROM, powering hundreds of Android devices with a lightweight, nearly unmodified version of Android. LineageOS 18.1 based on Android 11 is the latest version of the ROM. But since Android 12 has been around for a while, many fans are looking forward to the next iteration: LineageOS 19.0.
While we still don't know when the new builds based on Android 12 will arrive, the LineageOS team has now announced that they are ending support for LineageOS 17.1.
In a Reddit post, the LineageOS team revealed that LineageOS 17.1, which is based on Android 10, is now retiring. This means that new builds of LineageOS 17.1 will no longer be developed. The team says they had to take this step due to the memory limitations of their build servers.
According to the announcement, the following devices will be dropped from the LineageOS 17.1 build roaster:

If you're using LineageOS 17.1 on any of the above devices, you can still use the ROM, but note that there will be no new updates. This means that important security patches and other improvements will no longer be distributed.
