Huawei patents smartphone with 3D triple camera
Huawei has patented a bizarre-looking smartphone that can use its cameras to create a 3D scan of the face. Supposedly, the smartphone would use 3D technology to detect blemishes and pores and help people improve their skin health.
LetsGoDigital has discovered a patent filed by Huawei for a smartphone with an unusual design. The smartphone should be able to accurately measure faces and assess skin health based on a portrait or a selfie taken with the rear cameras.
Apparently, the smartphone uses its three cameras to measure the depth and size of a person's pores. However, it remains to be seen how accurate these estimates are. After analysis, the smartphone would tell people how to improve their skin health. Alternatively, one could also send the results of the smartphone to another person by email or via a messaging service.
One design that LetsGoDigital thinks is the most exciting shows the cameras around a circular display. Undoubtedly, the patented design resembles a more interactive Mate 40 Pro that Huawei launched in November 2020.
