Xiaomi is the first Chinese company to receive TRUSTe certification
As we have told you, it is not the first time that Xiaomi has received a certification similar to this. On the other hand, we have the report carried out by the IoTSF in which Xiaomi was included on the green list among the best companies in security policy in the world in relation to its range of IoT products, which confirms that the Asian firm it is completely safe when it comes to sharing or leaking user data.
But if we look at the case that concerns us today, we can see how Xiaomi has become the first Chinese company to receive TRUSTe certification, thus complying with the 40 validation requirements established by the General Protection Regulation of Data (GDPR) of the European Union .
In this case, the validation of this certification is carried out based on eight different areas , including risk and resource management, company policies and standards, awareness and training processes, among many others, confirming by TRUSTe itself that Xiaomi has complied with all of them.
As a result of this fact, Cui Baoqiu, vice president of Xiaomi and president of the security and privacy committee of the Asian company, has stated the following: "This is an important step to continuously improve compliance with the security and data parameters of the company. Xiaomi is committed to maintaining the highest standards of user privacy policies and practices, in particular for our consumers within the EU."
