A spectacular aesthetic 100% oriented to gaming
The K50 Gaming Edition makes it clear from the moment we see it for the first time: its orientation towards gameplay is key both on an aesthetic level and what we find inside.
This product has many details that will help us for this purpose, from its retractable side pawls, through small rear rubber areas that try to simulate the spoiler of a sports vehicle for better grip, to other decorative elements such as different led lights. scattered around the back.
Precisely in this back part we find a glass construction in a matte finish, a camera module in a traditional format similar to other Xiaomi devices and a front part with the classic hole in the screen in the upper central part to house the front camera.
As for its screen, it is equipped with an AMOLED panel with a diagonal of 6.67 inches, a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz with 480 Hz touch sampling, covered with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and a pack of associated technologies that place it as a of the best on the market.
And if the panel is high level, the hardware is not short. Its processor, as already confirmed, is finally the almighty Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 , a real beast that is accompanied by versions of RAM and storage that range between 8 or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage. UFS 3.1, almost nothing.
All this is completed with a very complete connectivity that of course includes a 5G connection , Wifi 6+ , NFC , etc., in addition to being powered by a generous 4,700 mAh battery that has fast cable charging up to 120 W , charger which is included with the box of the product itself.
All this is great but, being a gaming phone with so much detail, we think it is important that you know some of its particularities. For example, it equips a new vibration motor called Cyber Engine with a size of 560 mm3 that promises to give the best experience ever seen on a mobile device.
Something similar happens with its cooling, which is liquid with dual VC technology and a size of 4860 mm2, a figure that may sound Chinese, but which is practically twice the size of what aXiaomi 12 offers us, so that heating in this equipment should not be a problem.
Another detail that we love is that it equips a double speaker signed by JBL that will completely round off a gaming experience at the height of the best on the market, something that Redmi has placed special emphasis on and it seems clear that it has achieved in the absence of trying it. .
To finish, we also have to tell you that, as expected, it comes with the latest version of MIUI 13 based on Android 12 , and a pack of cameras that aims to be quite solvent but will not stand out above the rest of the specifications. much less remaining as follows:
- 64 MP Sony IMX686 main sensor , with a size of 1/1.73 inches
- 8MP Ultra Wide Angle Lens , with 120° field of view
- 2MP Macro Sensor
- 20 MP Sony IMX596 front camera
