Xiaomi is usually always the first Chinese manufacturer to introduce real innovations and new technologies to the market. Motorola has been putting pressure on Xiaomi for a short time and could steal the show from the big competitor for the second time. This time it's about the camera.
Motorola wants to build first 200 MP smartphone
A few weeks ago, Motorola introduced a high-end smartphone out of nowhere with the Moto Edge X30, which is the first device ever to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. With this, the company belonging to Lenovo, Xiaomi, which actually wanted to do this with the Xiaomi 12, has forestalled it. And now it could happen again. Motorola's next top smartphone is said to be the first device with a gigantic 200 MP camera (source: TechnikNews).
The Motorola "Frontier", as it is currently called, is said to be equipped with the recently introduced 200 MP camera from Samsung. It was actually expected that Xiaomi would take the first step here. So far nothing has happened and the Xiaomi 12 Ultra, which is expected in February, will probably still have a 108 MP camera. Motorola would again be the first manufacturer in the world to overtake the competition .
But not only the 200 MP camera of the upcoming Motorola cell phone will be of interest. It will be an absolute high-end device with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, 6.67-inch 144Hz OLED display and up to 12GB of RAM. Motorola also wants to get the most out of the display and overtake the competition from Xiaomi or Samsung in the normal smartphone sector. 120 Hz is still standard there. In the gaming sector, on the other hand, there is already 144 Hz.
Motorola also wants to revolutionize smartphone charging:
Will Motorola become the new smartphone king?
Motorola was not actually known for playing a significant role in the smartphone sector. Devices have been presented here and there, but apart from the folding cell phone, none of the devices has really received much attention. Recently, however, smartphones have gotten better and better and now you really want to attack. So Motorola could become a real option if things continue like this.
