Xiaomi has distributed the January 2022 security patch update for the Mi A3, the company's latest Android One smartphone. V12.0.18.0.RFQMIXM is now being rolled out as OTA and is available as Fastboot or Recovery ROMs.

Last month, the manufacturer had already released a fairly large update for the device, a 458MB download. However, this month's update is much smaller, with a file size of 12.29 MB. As always, Fastboot and Recovery ROMs are much larger downloads that Xiaomi Firmware Updater found on Xiaomi's servers.

Xiaomi has named the update this month "V12.0.18.0.RFQMIXM", indicating that it is another MIUI 12-based build, although the Xiaomi Mi A3 is part of the Android One program. Also, Xiaomi keeps the Mi A3 on Android 11.

V12.0.18.0.RFQMIXM only contains the security patch update from January 2022. No further innovations are to be expected with the update.
