Leakers are a thorn in Samsung's side. Now, with Evan Blass, one of the most prominent representatives has been tackled directly. After legal prosecution, probably initiated by Samsung, the well-known leaker still wants to continue – albeit in a different way.
Samsung: Well-known leaker backed into a corner
In August 2021, Samsung stated that it wanted to step up the fight against leakers. Anyone who publishes information about future products without authorization must expect hefty fines . Evan Blass has now found out that it was more than an empty threat. The leaker, which has more than 450,000 followers on Twitter, has been accused of copyright infringement by Samsung.
Blass did not explain the exact circumstances. Apparently, Samsung sent a DMCA request to Twitter, which resulted in leaked images or videos of a Samsung product being removed from the platform. These are probably render images for the upcoming Galaxy S22 series.

Blass meanwhile addressed Samsung directly with very clear words. He would continue to leak the group's products, even if he had to "rely on goddamn emails" to do so. In line with this, he has created a new newsletter . The brief description reads: "This is Leakmail, a newsletter about leaks delivered straight to your inbox" (Source: Leakmail).
There were also some leaks for the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE. You can see what we think of the cell phone in the video:
Samsung is taking action: things are getting serious for leakers
At the beginning of 2021, Samsung had changed its strategy for dealing with leakers. If the media disseminate preliminary information without authorization, then they must reckon with mail from Samsung's lawyers . The distribution of videos and photos in social networks is to be stopped via copyright claims, as in the case described by Blass.
