Pixel 6 (Pro): Google lets smartphone owners fidget
Google officially unveiled the Pixel 6 smartphones in October 2021 and has had problems with Android updates ever since. That doesn't seem to improve in the new year either, as the company is now even confirming itself. But the problems should soon be over.
Google is not initially distributing the January update for Pixel 6 phones
Anyone who uses a Pixel 6 Pro like me has been waiting for a new software version for the Google phone since the November update. A December update was rolled out in the meantime, but that caused so many problems that it was withdrawn again. Older Pixel smartphones from the Pixel 3a will now receive the January update, but the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro will have to wait (source: Google).
After all: Google wants to fix all known problems with the next update for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. For example, you should be able to make an emergency call again . This function was disturbed when Microsoft Teams is installed on the smartphone. Otherwise, Google basically wants to fix many problems with the connection to networks and with the operation. Sometimes the smartphone was simply unlocked after a missed call.
All the teething problems are of course very annoying for many owners of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in everyday life, especially since we are still waiting for an improvement in the fingerprint sensor. Hopefully this will be introduced with the January update. It is not known when exactly Google will activate the new software for the Pixel 6 phones. Older Pixel devices can now install the update .

First details about the Google Pixel 7 surfaced
While Google is still struggling with the software of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, the first details about the Pixel 7 are emerging. Google probably wants to install a sub-display camera there. One can only hope that the image quality of the camera is better than that of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 from Samsung.
