Netflix supports two HDR streaming formats, Dolby Vision and HDR10. Of course, to watch Netflix in these formats, you need the right tariff that supports streaming in Ultra HD. And of course a smartphone model that also supports either Dolby Vision or HDR.
Netflix is constantly adding new Android phones to the list of supported devices, although it usually doesn't do so until a few months after they're launched. The latest devices to get Netflix HDR10 and HD support are the Google Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 5a 5G.
All three Pixel phones launched last year and are now compatible with Netflix's highest streaming quality. If you are wondering how much data volume Netflix uses per hour, you will find an overview here:
- Low: Basic video quality, up to 0.3GB
- Medium: Standard video quality, up to 0.7 GB
- High: Best video quality:
- Standard resolution: up to 1GB
- High resolution: up to 3GB
- Ultra high resolution (4K): up to 7GB
