ZTE has been making headlines lately with its Axon series featuring many innovative technologies and under-display cameras. In the meantime, the subsidiary Nubia has also secured an important place in the field of gaming smartphones. With the RedMagic series, Nubia has established itself quite well in the segment. For this year, the company is preparing the Nubia RedMagic 7. The device is expected in the first quarter of 2022.
The company unveiled the Nubia RedMagic 6S Pro late last year as an upgrade to the Nubia RedMagic 6 series. Apparently, the release of the Nubia Red Magic 7 series is now imminent. The new gaming flagship has just gone through FCC certification, which suggests that Nubia is already gearing up for release.
The FCC certification reveals many details about the upcoming gaming flagship. The battery capacity of the device is specified as 4,380 mAh and details of the charging options are also given. The gaming smartphone has appeared at the FCC with the model number NX679J. In addition to the battery capacity of 4,380 mAh, the entry also confirms a 65 watt fast charging function for the device. The charging adapter is called NB-A20825C. The phone uses the 2,190 mAh dual-cell battery to withstand this charging power.
Apparently, the Nubia Red Magic 7 could have a Chinese variant with the lightning-fast 165 watt charge. Perhaps the global variant will manage with 100 watts less and charge with "only" 65 watts.
The entry also confirms that the gaming smartphone will come with 12GB of RAM. This is not a surprise as the company has released devices with more RAM in the past. The 12GB RAM variant comes with 256GB of internal storage. The device will come in a black color variant, but we can expect other colors as well.
