{Disarmed} Up to three low-end Xiaomi phones will receive Android 12 almost two years after its launch
As we have already been telling you over the last few weeks, the MIUI development team continues to work flat out to incorporate new versions of its software into many of the devices offered by the Asian firm, either with MIUI 13 or even with Android 12 for some of the phones with a long time in the market.
And this is precisely the case of the Redmi 9 , Redmi Note 9 and POCO M2 , smartphones with almost two years on the market that, apparently and as Xiaomiui tells us, will finally be able to enjoy Android 12 internally, fantastic news for your users.
Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 and POCO M2 will finally be able to enjoy Android 12
In principle, it was not expected that these phones could end up receiving this update since, on a regular basis, the Redmi Note series was receiving a single major Android update, so everything seemed to indicate that both the Redmi 9 and the Redmi Note 9 they would finally stay with Android 11 as the basis for future versions of MIUI.

But nothing is further from reality, these three teams have already started internal tests of their update to Android 12. Specifically, the Redmi 9 has already started its tests under the build number 22.1.26 for its Global ROM, and Both the Redmi Note 9 (22.1.26) and the POCO M2 (22.1.26) have also suffered the same fate, although the latter does so based on its ROM aimed at the Indian market.

Of course, all three will soon be able to enjoy the new version of MIUI 13, which is expected to arrive later this year, although it is true that we will have to wait to be able to enjoy it on phones that have been on the market for so long . .
