{Disarmed} More than 105 million Android phones infected through 407 applications from the Google Play Store
More than 105 million users would be infected by a new malware that has managed to sneak into the Google Play Store , infecting more than 400 applications and including in these a way to subscribe to services that you could never unsubscribe from.
All they need is a phone number
Unlike other scams, such as phishing , this scam does not need your bank account to scam you , but the phone number is enough to sign you up for apparently reliable services for around $15 per month . The Secureblink report estimates that there were hundreds of millions of dollars scammed.
Zimperion labs, which is the developer that has been in charge of discovering the cake, has reported more than 400 applications that have subsequently been removed from Google, although there could be many more.

The scam would have a global reach, despite this, not all countries are affected equally. In fact, the malware was able to identify the origin of the IP address, making the web page to which you were redirected to subscribe to an apparently reliable service always appear in your language.

We must take special care with the sources from which we download applications and files.

Just a few days ago, a dangerous malware called BRATA was once again being used, which is also capable of stealing your bank details and even formatting your Android mobile.
