{Disarmed} Do you have a Xiaomi 11? In this way you can now update to MIUI 13, without having to wait
Although MIUI 13 has already been deployed in China and some terminals such asXiaomi 12 , Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi 12 Pro already enjoy this renewed layer of personalization, in Spain we will still have to wait four to eight weeks to enjoy the first updated terminals to MIUI 13 .
There is another way, however. If you have a Xiaomi 11 family terminal, we will tell you how . And be careful, don't forget that there is a method to try to receive the updates before the others .
Install MIUI 13 now, step by step
- Step 1. The first thing we will do is unlock the bootloader , since this process takes some time. In this tutorial you will see how to do it in four easy steps. The path to know if we have unlocked the bootloader or not is 'Settings'> 'Additional settings'> 'Developer options'> 'My Unlock status' . To carry out this process you must disconnect the WiFi and connect from your data rate. These security measures are necessary. If the process fails, disconnect and reconnect the SIM card, only the main one.
- Step 2. To finish unlocking the device we must use the tool provided by Xiaomi itself, Mi Unlock . With the application downloaded and installed, connect the Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO smartphone to your computer and follow the steps, pressing the 'Unlock' button. Of course, the app is not compatible with MacOS, only with PC.
- Step 3. Now we can either download MIUI Downloader , as we have done, or directly access one of the repositories where the latest MIUI 13 weekly betas are posted, such as Xiaomi.eu or Sourceforge . We especially recommend this latest version, completely stable and updated just a few hours ago.
- Step 4. With the ROM downloaded in your terminal and the bootloader unlocked, you will only have to enter the fastboot screen to install the ROM. Turn off your terminal and turn it on again by holding down the power buttons and the volume down button, both, for a few seconds until the 'Fastboot' image appears.
- Step 5. Within this new menu choose the third option 'Connect with MIAssistant', to flash your device and install any ROM. And voila, you can install the downloaded custom ROM and enjoy it.
