Apple shows mercy: New headphones now with a German release date

So far, Apple has kept German customers waiting, because the new "Beats Fit Pro" cannot yet be bought in this country. In the end, only the Americans and the Chinese had this privilege. But now the manufacturer shows mercy, the headphones are finally coming to us.

Update from January 12, 2021: Finally there is a German release date for the new Beats Fit Pro. So far, the new Apple headphones (as a reminder, Beats has been part of the iPhone group for several years) have only been available in the USA and China since the end of last year. This will change from January 24th, from then Apple will accept pre-orders, which will then be delivered at the actual start of sales on January 28th (source: Beats via Twitter channel).

Apple officially charges 229.95 euros for headphones. They're available in different colors. An alternative is certainly the AirPods Pro from Apple. They don't have "little wings" to hold them, but they do have a MagSafe-compatible charging case. Although they normally cost just under 280 euros, we only pay a little more than 200 euros in free trade (currently 205 euros, for example, see at Amazon).

Apple introduces the new Beats Fit Pro: initially without a European launch

The Beats Fit Pro will initially be available in the US alone for $199.99 , then in China in early December. The rest of the world won't get the headphones until the new year (source: Beats). When exactly? Apple, as the owner of Beats, is still keeping a low profile, probably also depends on the general supply situation - keyword: chip crisis. Accordingly, there is currently no price for the European market. According to the current exchange rate plus VAT, we would have to reckon with around 205 euros.

Speaking of chips: Unlike the Beats Studio Buds presented earlier this year, Apple is treating the Fit Pro to an original Apple H1 chip . There's also support for spatial audio (marketed as 3D audio in Germany) for noise cancellation (ANC). The special thing about the new beats are the small wings for a better grip. Furthermore, the Beats Fit Pro are certified according to IPX4, so they can also absorb sweat and the like. The small earphones should run for 6 hours at a time, and there is still a "supply" of 21 hours waiting in the charging case, making a total runtime of 27 hours .

Apple wants to appeal to Android users

Good to know: In contrast to the AirPods, Apple is also aggressively marketing the Beats headphones to Android users. So there are extras waiting for those customers, too, because with the Beats app for Android, they get extra features like one-touch pairing, custom controls, battery status, firmware updates, and a fit test.
