A few months ago Xiaomi announced the end of the "Mi" name on all its products . Since then, each new smartphone and in general, each new smart device has been released without such a name .
According to the company itself, this change was made in order to make the "XIAOMI" brand more recognized worldwide , in turn shortening the name of some products. Come on ... a business strategy, rather than a major change as such.
Meanwhile, devices prior to this change continued to keep the "Mi" in their names , now that Xiaomi has decided to give a final goodbye to this name that has been present since its inception.
Check if your Xiaomi has also changed its name
As they have let us know from XIAOMIUI , Xiaomi has renamed all its devices . For example, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is now called Xiaomi 9 , not only commercially, but also from the MIUI settings.
To check if your Xiaomi has changed its name, simply access Settings> Mi Account> Devices . In my particular case, the Xiaomi Mi 11 that I use regularly has been renamed Xiaomi 11.
It should be noted that it is only a commercial strategy on the part of Xiaomi. It is therefore that the name change will not affect your mobile device on a day-to-day basis , only that now it will not have the name "My".
The entry Xiaomi renames all its mobiles: check if yours has also said goodbye to the "Mi" was published first in xiaomist: Xiaomi news and news website
