OnePlus is known for its Android smartphones, but is now also selling headphones and other products such as smartwatches. To round off the portfolio, the Chinese company is to work on a completely new device. Recently, Xiaomi has also re-entered the sector.
OnePlus develops its own Android tablet
After OnePlus has already sold various Android smartphones, headphones and a smartwatch, it makes sense to bring an Android tablet onto the market . The market is currently getting hot again, because Google has released a new operating system for devices with larger displays with Android 12L and Xiaomi is attacking there again. The Xiaomi Pad 5 (for testing) only recently came onto the market and was in extremely high demand.
A few months ago the rumor surfaced that OnePlus was planning an Android tablet. The OnePlus Pad is said to be a modification of the model from Vivo and Realme. Now it's getting a little more specific. The OnePlus Pad will initially be launched in India , where the Chinese company is very strong (source: 91mobiles). OnePlus is not in too much of a hurry, however, because it should come onto the market sometime in the first half of 2022. The source also makes it clear that the presentation will not be carried out together with the OnePlus 10 smartphones.
It is currently not known what technical features the OnePlus Pad has. It is assumed that it will tend to be in the lower price segment . OnePlus has now been integrated into Oppo, so that new requirements apply there. India is an important market for the Chinese company, so we can expect a solid Android tablet that doesn't cost too much.

Is the OnePlus Pad coming to Germany?
OnePlus has had a very strong presence in Germany for years, so we wouldn't rule out the possibility of the Android tablet coming to us as well. So far, however, only India has been "confirmed".
