Anyone who buys a Google smartphone actually expects these Android devices to receive software updates first. That doesn't seem to be the case with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. While older Google phones are supplied with the latest software, buyers of new smartphones have had to wait longer. Now they are being redeemed.

Google normally distributes security updates for its Pixel smartphones on the first Tuesday of each month. My Pixel 6 Pro (for testing) has not yet received anything.
