{Disarmed} Xiaomi Paipai, this is Xiaomi s Chromecast 4K
Do you know what a pai pái is? We are talking about one of those palm fans, usually made of rice paper and decorated with bucolic motifs, typical in the Philippines, China and Japan. Now imagine a Chromecast with that shape.
Well, this is what Xiaomi has just presented, the second generation of its little-known Xiaomi Mi Pai , a dongle designed to play streaming content and broadcast to large screens with 4K resolution and 30fps. And it is truly useful.
Xiaomi Paipai 4K, Xiaomi's Chromecast 4K
Through a DisplayPort Type-C connection - instead of connecting to the HDMI port - this product solves different common needs in offices, being able to broadcast in full screen or as a window on dozens of compatible devices.
In this way, if you link a laptop or smart TV or monitor using BLE 5 GHz, you can duplicate or triple the screen without effort or install additional applications. This product is compatible even with the current projectors of the brand .
Xiaomi guarantees high-definition image quality and ultra-low latency, although this requires a dual-band WiFi connection.
Price and availability of the Xiaomi Paipai 4K
The Xiaomi Paipai 4K will be available for sale for 499 yuan, 69 euros at the exchange . As you can see, its price is quite close to other solutions from Google or Amazon, such as Google Chromecast with Google TV, although Xiaomi's focus is more limited to the work sector and not so much to leisure.
Of course, it is not yet known if it will be available in the global market or if it will be at some point. It is quite likely that we will see this new gadget in stores like AliExpress before seeing it registered on the Xiaomi Spain website.
