The Xiaomi Mi A3 is still very much alive: Google has just released an unexpected update that improves its performance

As we already know, Xiaomi has within its product catalog some devices that have the particularity of having Android One installed inside, a system developed by Google itself that provides users with an experience similar to its Pixels and that promised several years of updates deployed by the company itself.

Among them, we have the Xiaomi Mi A3 , a device that saw the light in 2019 and that, to this day, is still quite current. And this is demonstrated by the latest update that has been launched for this terminal, which has an unusual size within this type of deployments and which, according to Google itself, improves the optimization and performance of the equipment.

This is the latest update received by the Xiaomi Mi A3

Throughout its latest versions, the Xiaomi Mi A3 has received updates that did not usually exceed a size of about 150 MB since they were aimed at small security patches or specific corrections of some elements of the system. However, Google has surprised us all with a new version that has a total size of about 458 MB and that, apparently, achieves a greater general stability of the equipment.

This version corresponds to the name V.12.0.17.0 RFQMIXM and is based on Android 11 , and it will be one of the last important updates that will reach this team since, as confirmed in its launch, starting next month July 2022 the company will stop rolling out updates for this smartphone.

As expected, the Xiaomi Mi A3 will not receive Android 12 , but this update will mean (as indicated by Google itself) an important bug fix for the team, in addition to improving its stability and optimizing its performance so that most of users who continue to use it can enjoy a solvent smartphone that is as up-to-date as possible.
