How to deactivate the TalkBack function on your Xiaomi
What is Talkback? TalkBack is an accessibility service, a tool that helps users with different vision problems to interact more comfortably, using the spoken word and the vibration of the mobile phone every time it recognizes that a button has been touched.
The TalkBack screen reader is a very useful function developed in Android that, in short, reads what is on the screen and offers voice notifications of the different buttons and their utilities.
However, if you don't need it or have activated it by mistake, the path to find the TalkBack feature is as follows:
- Enter the ' Settings ' of the system.
- Now scroll to the option ' Additional settings '.
- Once inside this new window, go down and tap on the ' Accessibility ' section.
- Within the ' Accessibility ' section you will see several sections (general, vision, hearing and physical). Tap on the second option, that of ' Vision '.
- Within this new section you can now use TalkBack or disable it.
As you can see in the image above, there are several ways to disable TalkBack. The first is by going back over the original path and disabling the ' Use TalkBack ' button.
The second is by pressing and holding the 'Volume +' and 'Volume- ' buttons again for three consecutive seconds. This will disable TalkBack.
But you can also do it even more easily with the Google Assistant . If you have to open the assistant or say 'Hey Google' if you already have it preconfigured and then say 'Deactivate TalkBack' or 'Activate TalkBack', according to your need.
And if this function is not compatible with your version of MIUI there is still a fourth way, opening the Google Assistant and telling it ' Open accessibility settings ', and then access the 'Vision' section and thus deactivate the TalkBack function.
