MIUI is always in constant evolution. The development team of the customization layer that arrives installed by default in most Xiaomi devices continues to work on perfecting each application integrated in the system, and this time it was the MIUI gallery that was updated with new functions.

These new features come focused on a new system for scrolling through the gallery for much easier handling in addition to updating the different permissions necessary to synchronize, manage and edit the albums that we have stored.

New slider in the purest Google Photos style

Specifically, we are talking about an update that corresponds to version V3.0.0.2 of the MIUI gallery application , which is currently in the Alpha phase and that, therefore, we will have to wait to be able to test these news in a future MIUI update.

And speaking of these novelties, the first of them corresponds to a new slider located to the right of the screen that, in addition, integrates chronological annotations of the different years in which each capture was taken.

Thanks to this function very similar to what we already find in other popular applications such as Google Photos , we will be able to move in a much more intuitive way through all our photos and videos in order to be able to locate them in a much faster way compared to what we had so far as they show us from MIUIes .

On the other hand, the second of the changes to the gallery application corresponds to the updating of the permissions that are necessary to synchronize, manage and edit the albums that we have stored in order to have greater control over them, which we do not is over.

As we said, at the moment these changes are available in Alpha phase, so we will have to wait to see them applied in the system. In fact, it is expected that these news will come directly integrated into a supposed version of MIUI 13 , so we will have to remain attentive to any news that may arise in this regard.
