{Disarmed} The end of the Redmi 9 series: time to say goodbye to a legend that will stop selling this month
All good things come to an end and, unfortunately, the time for the Redmi Note 9 family has come. Xiaomi launched just a few days ago the new Redmi Note 11 series composed of the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus and, at that event, Lu Weibing himself, Redmi general manager, announced that global sales of the Redmi Note series have exceeded 240 million units, an increase of 40 million units in just five months.
At this same event, Lu Weibing himself announced that the Redmi Note 9 series will be discontinued once the Chinese sales have ended on November 11 , so it will be time to say goodbye to one of the most successful families within the ecosystem of products of Xiaomi.
It's time to say goodbye to one of Xiaomi's best-selling product families
The Redmi Note 9 series was officially launched in April 2020 in Spain and is made up of up to four models that today are still for sale in Spain, among which we can find the Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro , Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9T (in addition to the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max that we can find in the Chinese market).
After more than a year in the market, it is time to say goodbye to a series of telephones that, back on September 27, 2020, had already managed to harvest total sales of more than 20 million units , figures that a today they have grown significantly.
In fact, to this day the Redmi Note 9 is still Xiaomi's best-selling model in China on portals such as JD.com but, unfortunately, from now on we can only acquire the families of the Redmi Note 10 and the Redmi Note 11 (the latter when it is officially launched to the Global market).
Therefore, everything seems to indicate that after November 11, the Redmi Note 9 saga will come to an end , at least in a confirmed way in the Chinese market, and in the absence of confirmation for other markets such as the Spanish one. All this will trigger the end of the model as soon as the stock runs out, although, of course, you can continue to enjoy the usual two-year official warranty from the company.
