China manufacturer brings back iconic cell phone design
The Nexus 6P had an idiosyncratic look that was still popular with fans. Now the design is returning in the form of a high-end cell phone from China. The Realme GT 2 Pro should not only convince Nexus nostalgics.
Realme GT 2 Pro in the design of the Nexus 6P
The Google mobile phone Nexus 6P, released in 2015, is back - if only as a new design. The iconic camera stripe , which we last saw on the Pixel 6 (Pro), is very prominent on the Realme GT 2 Pro. In contrast to the Nexus 6P, not a single, but three rear cameras are used.
Apart from the idiosyncratic design, the Realme GT 2 Pro also wants to score in other areas. The processor should pass as a real highlight: Realme has reportedly opted for the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 top processor , which will also be found in the OnePlus 10 Pro, among other things. In the Realme GT 2 Pro, the SoC should be supported by up to 12 GB of RAM.
The horizontally arranged cameras should allow images with up to 50 MP . In addition to the main camera, customers can expect an ultra-wide angle (also 50 MP) and a telephoto lens (8 MP). There is probably a 32 MP selfie camera in the front (source: 91mobiles).
You can see what makes the Realme GT so special here in the video:

The large OLED display of the China smartphone should have a diagonal of 6.8 inches and a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. The capacity of the battery could be 5,000 mAh, possibly the battery can be charged with 125 watts .
The Realme GT 2 Pro is expected in the first quarter of 2022. In China, prices are expected to start at around 700 euros . The manufacturer has also offered previous mobile phones in the Realme GT series in Germany.
