{Disarmed} Xiaomi 11T Pro, first impressions: a flagship with the smell of the best seller
A few weeks ago, Xiaomi presented the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro internationally . It is a range with which Xiaomi wants to break the market thanks to offering very good features at a reduced price.
The T series has changed a lot over the years, in fact, between the previous generation and this there are quite a few differences .

A different design with an elegant appearance
As soon as we took it out of the box, we realized that we were facing a large mobile . Its flat screen makes its size appear larger than other devices on the market, despite being the same size. This is due to the fact that in this generation the company has decided to say goodbye to curves.
Of course, despite being large, it is not too heavy. At the back it has a really peculiar finish . Despite being made of plastic and being quite dirty, depending on how the light hits it, beyond reflecting the objects, it has a very elegant brushing effect.
The upper part houses the sound system signed by Harman Kardon and the infrared sensor .
The right side houses the on, off and lock button, which also houses the fingerprint sensor, although it has caught our attention that this button is physical and has a travel, unlike other models in which it is directly implemented in the chassis.
If you look at the bottom you will find the microphone for calls, USB type C and a speaker for multimedia content .
In the back it has a camera module that houses the three main sensors , the dual-tone flash and the microphone that will be responsible for recording the audio of the videos. In addition, we also find the Xiaomi logo and the different certifications in a vertical arrangement.
It should be noted that the panel houses a camera integrated in the screen and very small frames that offer a modern design.
Flat screen AMOLED 120 Hz
The Xiaomi 11T family has said goodbye to curves . This is the main reason why it seems that this model is so large, although it really has the same size as many other smartphones on the market.
On this occasion Xiaomi has also abandoned the IPS technology, and has decided to incorporate the same AMOLED panel in both devices. It has a refresh rate of 120 Hz , which is noticeable as soon as you turn on the device and start navigating through the different menus.
The colors are quite vibrant and saturated for an AMOLED panel, which is good news, since visually they attract more attention, despite moving away from reality in this way.
At first glance we see that it is a panel that responds very well and that it is a good panel, not one of the best that Xiaomi has, but a correct panel , which it is true that a little more definition is missing. .
Pure power inside
Inside this device is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 accompanied by 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
We have put it to the test with different demanding games and it has been able to run all of them without messing up . Although we have not been able to test it in great depth, it seems that the cooling system offers a good result , preventing it from overheating.
Let's remember that some MIUI optimizations like Game Turbo make performance in this type of task even better than usual, which is always an advantage.
The 108 megapixels as protagonists
Xiaomi is one of those firms that has been betting on 108 megapixels for a long time. Although the configuration does not end there, but the Xiaomi 11T Pro mounts the following sensors:
- Main sensor : 108 megapixels
- Ultra wide angle sensor : 8 megapixels
- Telemacro sensor : 5 megapixels
In this first contact we could not stay with the desire to lightly test the Xiaomi 11T Pro camera . At first it has left us with a very good taste in our mouths, although we will have to wait for the full review to be able to evaluate it in the different scenarios.
The photographs that we will see below are taken in daytime situations, with favorable situations. Keep in mind that we have made use of the different sensors.
In this device the front camera is 16 megapixels . It offers detail and realistic colors, although some sharpness is missing.
We also wanted to test the video of this Xiaomi 11T Pro. In this case, despite having the possibility of recording up to 8K , we have decided to put it to the test at 4K at 60 fps .
It is a more than considerable quality, and in which in this contact we have been impressed. Although the definition is not the best, the colors, focus and stabilization are good.
You plug it in and it's charged
One of the qualities that Xiaomi wanted to underline during its presentation was that this model has the possibility of recharging at 120 W through the charger that comes in the box. In just 17 minutes it promises to be loaded.
We have given it a half load plugged in and it is almost hypnotic to see the load percentage rise in such a short time, but you will have to have a stopwatch in hand and in the review we will tell you everything about this charging system.
Xiaomi 11T Pro, the older brother that smells like top sales
In this first contact, the Xiaomi 11T Pro leaves us good feelings. The construction, although it is true that it may be one of the less brilliant sections of the device , in general terms it offers us a feeling very similar to that of its sister firm POCO.
It is a device that promises a lot, and that needs to be tested in depth to draw clear conclusions, but it can give a lot to talk about . And more with the passage of time, when it is at an even more interesting price, despite the fact that it can already be found on offer for a limited time .
