The Xiaomi 11T family is already among us. This new generation comes to improve certain aspects of a range of phones that gave many joys within the company, being the Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro two of the best smartphones in relation to value for money last year.
From xiaomist we have already had the opportunity to test the new Xiaomi 11T , and in this post we are going to tell you how about our first impressions with it to know what the keys to this new Xiaomi super sales are.

An intact design compared to the Pro variant, good news
This Xiaomi 11T maintains exactly the same design and dimensions as its Pro variant and that, without any doubt, is good news. As soon as I took it out of its box for the first time, I quickly realized that we are dealing with a phone that is not compact at all, in fact, I use a Xiaomi Mi 11 on a daily basis, and this is slightly higher in dimensions.
Another detail that caught my attention is its rear. We have a brushed metal effect that we have seen in other devices from other brands and that, on a personal basis, seems to me to be a very successful finish in order to avoid showing much dirt in this area which, by the way, is finished in a plastic material that gives a good hand feel.
Giving a review of the rest of the phone we can appreciate a really attractive glass-finished camera module that takes a lot of prominence in this rear part, stereo speakers on the top and bottom of the device compatible with Dolby Atmos that, to tell the truth, have a very acceptable sound quality, infrared sensor for remote control of different compatible devices and the now classic USB type C connection next to the dual SIM tray.
Finally, I also tell you that on the right side of the device we find the volume control and the on and off button that also acts as a fingerprint sensor. The truth is that each and every one of these buttons gives a feeling of solid and well-executed construction, in addition to the fact that, at least for the moment, the fingerprint sensor has worked for me out of ten and without recurring errors in unlocking despite not being in the ideal location for my liking.
Good use of the front for a high-quality 120 Hz AMOLED panel
The good news for this Xiaomi 11T does not end in the design, and it is that its screen has enchanted me so far. Of course, I must start by saying that I have found a small negative point, and that is that the hole where the front camera is housed is not very well used. It has around it a black ring that in fact does not look too good , and it is something that Xiaomi has already proven to do well in other devices such as the POCO F3 , which we do not (unfortunately) find here.
But this is a small stain on a screen that seems brutal to me considering the price of this device. We speak that the flat 6.67-inch AMOLED panel, Full HD + resolution and refresh rate of up to 120 Hz that we have in its Pro variant is maintained, so its quality is beyond doubt.
And this is something that is transmitted from the first moment, since as soon as I started using the phone for the first time I realized that we are facing a screen of a higher segment. Its brightness is very high and we can view it both indoors and outdoors without too much inconvenience and even its colors are really well calibrated, being a vibrant screen but without being shrill.
I have also loved its tactile feedback. It is true that we are not in the least before the best panel that Xiaomi has mounted on a device, but the general experience of the whole based on that refresh rate makes using it a joy , and yes, even to play at the highest level of fluency.

I have to admit that I was more afraid than ashamed when in the presentation of this device we discovered that it would mount a processor signed by Mediatek inside. And nothing is further from the truth, this Dimensity 1200-Ultra has surprised me for good, at least in the experience I have had so far.
There is no sign of lag or lack of power in some high-demand video games so, apparently, the performance that it is capable of delivering together with its 8GB of RAM are more than enough in order to have a smooth experience without unexpected crashes. or frame drops.
By the way, something that I have noticed in this first contact is that it heats up a bit more than I would like, especially when playing games with high graphic demand. Do not think that this is going to mean that the phone burns or anything like that, but it is an aspect that has caught my attention and I wanted to comment on it.

How to improve the general performance of your Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO mobileFinally, without going into too much detail about its connectivity, tell you that we have compatibility with 5G networks and I have not had any problems when connecting to them and, in addition, we have a 5,000 mAh battery capacity with fast charging of up to 67 W with the charger included in the box.
It is true that I have not yet been able to draw clear conclusions about the autonomy that it is capable of offering us, but what I have been pleasantly surprised is this fast charge. I honestly think 67W is more than enough for a brutal charging experience. Be careful, I do not detract from the 120W of the Pro variant, but I think that the balance that this charge gives us together with its battery capacity are more than enough for 99% of users.
108 megapixels Who gives more?
Well, if the Xiaomi 11T Pro is priced around 150 euros higher than the 11T, its cameras must be higher, or so I want to think. Well, to my surprise, it wasn't like that. This reasoning was logical, but not realistic, and is that this Xiaomi 11T has exactly the same configuration of rear cameras that we have in its older brother and that, without a doubt, is fantastic news for a phone that does not exceed 500 euros.
Specifically, this configuration consists of the following sensors:
- 108 MP main sensor with f / 1.75 aperture
- 8 MP Ultra Wide Angle lens with f / 2.2 aperture
- 5 MP telemacro sensor with f / 2.4 aperture
Seeing these specifications I have not been able to resist briefly testing what the photographic capabilities of this device are and, in the absence of testing it in different situations, the performance of its cameras is fantastic. It is true that I have only been able to take pictures in good light conditions so the results are quite good, in the absence of being able to test it in low light situations where the sensor has to show all its capabilities.
Unsurprisingly, the ultra-wide-angle sensor has some chromatic aberration around its edges, plus the distortion isn't particularly well controlled , but it's completely normal in this price range.

What I did like especially is the macro sensor. It is true that the quality is not even close to what the main sensor is capable of offering us, but both the focus and sharpness have seemed especially remarkable.
Finally, I will tell you two details that do change with respect to the Pro variant. The first is its front camera, which has a 16 megapixel sensor with an aperture of f / 2.45 that in my first captures the truth is that it has given me good Outcome. And the second is that we lose the video with a resolution of up to 8K, although that is not the most relevant loss, but it is the decrease to 4K 30fps with respect to the 60fps of the Xiaomi 11T Pro , so the resulting video quality will be a priori inferior.
In this first contact, the truth is that I liked the video quality , it presents a good representation of colors and even a very remarkable stabilization, without a doubt good news for those looking for a device that complies in this regard.
150 euros less for a phone practically as good
After this first contact, the truth is that the Xiaomi 11T has left us with a wonderful taste in our mouths. Without a doubt, one of my biggest fears was the Mediatek chipset but, in the absence of testing it in depth, it seems that it will not be far from a burden in our daily use.
Honestly, in the absence of corroborating all these tests, this Xiaomi 11T seems to me a much more logical option than its Pro brother , and it is that we maintain many of the key points of this device such as its design, screen and even cameras, and it only justifies that price increase in a higher fast charge, a little more power and greater video recording capacities, aspects that, honestly, do not seem to me to improve so much as to go for it.
Therefore, in its analysis we will be much more exhaustive in our tests and we will tell you much more in depth each of its sections, but it seems that this 11T will be the most desired phone as well as the most logical that Xiaomi has created during this year 2021 . We'll see how this movie ends.
