MIUI does not stop receiving very interesting improvements and implementations that we will surely see debut in MIUI 13 . Improvements that add extra value to what is already one of the most popular customization layers on Android.

Thanks to the fantastic MIUIes team - who have also just launched a new website - we receive information about these four novelties that provide new options in the edition and customization of our Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO. Let's get to know four of these functions.

Magic skies

The closed beta 21.10.25 of the Chinese MIUI 12.5 ROM has incorporated a good handful of new customization features so you can change the sky of your photos.

As we already explained in this tutorial , it is very easy to modify the appearance of the sky in large photos and with these 11 new effects we can insert a warm sun, a reddish sunset, starry nights or mist to the photos we have already taken. An improvement that we hope will reach the rest of the ROMs as soon as possible.

Task automation

Task automation is a feature where the MIUI customization layer may not have stood out as much as it could.

This tool to apply automations in running applications allows, for example, that the WiFi or the lights are activated automatically when we get home, by recognizing us through geolocation. Or, for example, that the mobile is put into concentration mode as soon as we have a meeting. Or that an app closes according to the action we have programmed.

A series of improvements that we have seen in an approximate way in iOS but that have never been present in MIUI before. Of course, it is only available since the last closed beta, the 21.10.28 , within the Chinese ROM of MIUI 12.5.

Music widgets are renewed

Within the Chinese ROM of MIUI 12.5 we also find news in the Music app, which is updated to version 4.3.

This new version brings up to three different widgets to the already known ones. Two of them are designed to control the songs from outside the app, being able to access the latest reproductions , so that we will have improvements in usability.

The front camera has long been the ugly duckling, the eternal forgotten. The closed beta 21.10.28 of the Chinese ROM MIUI 12.5 brings a good handful of news, for now only compatible with WeChat but extrapolated to other apps.
