{Disarmed} Samsung ends Android 12 beta on Galaxy S21 range, new video shows colors and functions of One UI 4
Android 12 may be the biggest update to the platform in years, but most of its best designs and features are mostly only found on the Pixel smartphones. Samsung has been working on its One UI 4 update based on Android 12, and in a new video the company shows how it is taking over some of Google's functions from Pixel.
Two new videos released by Samsung offer a tour of the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update, with the first video showing how the update handles colors. Like Google, the Samsung update supports Dynamic Color, which changes the accent color of the system based on the background image and also transfers this to supported apps.
Samsung also shows how it updated its clock widget to be dark at night and light during the day, even if it shows two time zones for a quick time of day. Like Google, Samsung's widgets will also be forced to have rounded corners.
In addition to this, the video also goes into the privacy improvements in Android 12, such as: B. the camera / microphone indicators, location options and more. Samsung is also showing "One UI Book 4," which carries many of these design changes to the company's Windows laptops.
In the second "introductory film", Samsung shows these functions in action and focuses heavily on the ecosystem of Samsung devices and services.
Around the same time that these two videos went online, Samsung announced, at least in South Korea, that the beta program for the Galaxy S21 series has ended. TizenHelp spotted the news on Samsung's forums, and it's certainly an indication that Samsung plans to release a stable Android 12 update in the next few weeks. In the meantime, the company is also preparing to offer the Android 12 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 .
