Huawei also had a new smartwatch in its luggage today. The long-awaited Huawei Watch GT 3 was officially unveiled. This will be available in 2 versions, one with a diameter of 42 mm and also with a diameter of 46 mm. Here Huawei has chosen HarmonyOS 2.0 as the operating system.

Huawei introduced the Huawei Watch 3 series with a brand new design back in June. It was the first smartwatch to come pre-installed with the HarmonyOS operating system. Now the Chinese manufacturer has stepped up again and presented the GT series of the watch.

This watch comes with a brand new design and HarmonyOS as the operating system. The Huawei Watch GT 3 comes in two models - 42mm and 46mm.

Display and design

The 42 mm version of the Huawei Watch 3 has a 1.32 ″ and the 46 mm version has a 1.43 ″ AMOLED color display that supports touch, slide and gesture functions. The 46 mm variant is available in two colors - black and steel. The 42 mm, on the other hand, is announced in three colors: black, steel and gold.

Both models are made of stainless steel on the front and back and coated with plastic. In addition to the frame and the colors, the Watch GT 3 46 mm has a black fluoroelastomer strap, a leather strap and a stainless steel strap. The 42mm watch also has a fluoroelastomer strap, as well as a white leather strap and a gold Milanese strap.

As far as operation is concerned, these smartwatches have a physical button system with a crown on the top right, followed by a function button on the bottom right of the watch frame. The Watch GT 3 46 mm is designed for a wrist size of 140-120mm (42.6g without bracelet) and the Watch GT 3 42 mm for a wrist size of 130-190mm (35g without bracelet).

And that's not all: the Watch GT 3 offers you all-round protection with a water resistance of 5 ATM at a depth of up to 50 meters. The watch is powered by an ARM Cortex-M chipset and has 32 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage.
