{Disarmed} Google is finally bringing assistant typing to Gboard

Google will probably finally introduce the assistant typing function in Gboard on the new Pixel 6 series. Last year, this voice-assisted typing function appeared briefly for some users for the first time, but was then quickly withdrawn. The function is called "Assistant voice typing" and should now finally be distributed.

Following the release of the Android 12 AOSP, Mishaal Rahman confirmed that this feature will come, but when it will likely be exclusive to the Pixel 6 range.

The new interface then allows you to type with the Google Assistant, which is activated with the microphone button. When you press the voice input button, it is outlined in the familiar colors of the Google Assistant. This feature can also be accessed by saying "Hey Google, tap". As soon as the function is activated, "Speak now to type by voice input" appears in the middle and a help button appears on the left with a list of commands that can be used:

For example, you can use your voice to send a typed message, delete a single word (selected by tapping or the last word), a sentence or the entire text and undo this action. You can also replace or correct a specific word by tapping it and saying a new word.
