{Disarmed} The Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max could get a massive memory upgrade
It will be another year before Apple's 14-generation iPhone hits the market. But there are already rumors about the expected upgrades of Apple's new flagship smartphones. A leak from China now claims that Apple could give the iPhone 14 Pro models a massive memory upgrade.
The Apple iPhone 13 smartphones have only been on the market for just under a week, but there are already rumors and leaks about the upcoming 14th generation and some of the most anticipated upgrades. For its new flagships, the Cupertino-based company is reportedly planning to upgrade the available memory configurations, including storage capacity normally only found in notebooks.
According to an article by MacRumors, Apple is expected to release an iPhone 14 Pro configuration with 2TB of internal storage. Compared to the recently released iPhone 13 Pro, which is being offered for the first time with 1TB of storage, that would represent a further doubling of the capacity of its largest storage configuration.
This speculative memory expansion is allegedly made possible by Apple's switch to modern QLC flash memory. An earlier rumor from DigiTimes also anticipated this switch. Ultimately, a possible iPhone 14 Pro Max with 2 TB of storage would almost certainly break the record for the most expensive iPhone of all time, considering that the iPhone 13 Pro Max with 1 TB of storage already costs EUR 1,829.00.
