With the Apple Watch 7, Apple once again did not include a charger in the package. If you still want to charge the smartwatch quickly, you should pay attention to the appropriate power supply unit and charging cable, as the company is now explaining.
Apple Watch Series 7: Suitable charger for quick charging of the smartwatch
The Apple Watch 7 is now available and by now, at the latest, many interested parties will be aware that the manufacturer has dispensed with a charger, as with the predecessor. Just like with iPhones, Apple no longer includes a power supply unit in the package for the new Smartwatch. A USB-C cable is included. Now Apple has explained on a help page what owners of the Apple Watch Series 7 should pay attention to when charging.
According to Apple, it has to be an Apple charger that has an output of 20 watts. Only then can it be guaranteed that the new Apple Watch can be charged to 80 percent in 45 minutes . A power adapter with an output of 18 watts is sufficient for fast charging. Here, however, the charging process takes a little longer. For third-party chargers, Apple states that they should deliver at least 5 watts with Power Delivery (source: Apple).
The included USB-C cable "Magnetic Fast Charger" must also be used to quickly charge the new Apple Watch. The manufacturer writes that cables from older Apple smartwatches cannot be used for fast charging. There is also a restriction in some countries: In India, Vietnam and Argentina there is no fast charging for the Apple Watch 7. Apple does not provide an explanation for this.
