Google and Samsung developed Wear OS 3.0 together and combined the best features of Wear OS and Tizen in the new smartwatch operating system. However, the competition does not benefit from this, as is currently clearly shown.

Wear OS, like Android, is actually an operating system from Google that can be used by any manufacturer who concludes a license agreement. It seems to be different with Wear OS 3.0. The collaboration between Samsung and Google seems to have a downside for other manufacturers. Fossil recently unveiled stylish new smartwatches with the Gen 6. According to Fossil, the update from Wear OS 2.0 to Wear OS 3.0 is not yet available. In fact, Google has also said that updates are not expected until the end of 2022 . Why didn't the watches come out with Wear OS 3.0? After all, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic with the new software.
