Samsung gets competition: New ultra smartwatch attacks Galaxy Watch 4
With the Galaxy Watch 4, Samsung was the first company to bring a smartwatch to the market that runs with the new Wear OS 3.0. With the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, however, a tough competitor is now announced, which could outperform the Samsung Smartwatch with a special feature.
TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra as a Samsung alternative
The TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra has not yet been officially presented by Mobvoi. The smartwatch, which has never appeared before, can be seen for the first time in a video on YouTube (watch it on YouTube ), where it is casually pulled out of a box:
Visually, the watch is very reminiscent of the normal TicWatch Pro 3, which has been available on the market for a long time. What justifies the addition "Ultra" in this model remains open. It should be clear that Mobvoi is upgrading something technically. The stronger Snapdragon Wear 4100+ and probably more internal storage should be set to keep up with the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4.
In addition, the dual-layer display should be used again in the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra. This saves a lot of energy if only the most important information is shown on the TN display. If you need more information, an OLED display comes to the fore. The Galaxy Watch 4 does not offer that. Mobvoi promises a term of up to 45 days. In the test of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, we found that the Samsung Smartwatch lasts for a maximum of two days.

Will Wear OS 3.0 be used?
The operating system remains the greatest unknown. Unfortunately, the box in the video does not reveal which operating system the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra is using. The new Fossil watches of the 6th generation had to appear with Wear OS 2.0 and will only receive the update to Wear OS 3.0 in mid or late 2022. It will be very exciting to see if Samsung and Google have an exclusive deal that excludes other manufacturers. Then, according to current knowledge, the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra would also be lost.
