Samsung Galaxy S22: manufacturer has to put up with another setback
First there were disappointing benchmarks, now followed by a rejection from an important partner. The Galaxy S22 is already anything but smooth for Samsung. There is no special camera cooperation with Olympus.
Samsung Galaxy S22: No cooperation with Olympus
Regarding the Galaxy S22, there had been persistent rumors in recent months that Samsung could cooperate with the traditional Japanese company Olympus on the camera. Olympus has now spoken up and rejected corresponding reports. So there is no collaboration with Samsung on the Galaxy S22.
The speculation had picked up pace because Olympus itself indicated at the beginning of the year that it wanted to enter into a collaboration with other companies that are not necessarily known for their cameras. Samsung definitely won't (source: LetsGoDigital). A cooperation would also have been suitable because other smartphone manufacturers are already relying on a similar cooperation. The German manufacturer Leica cooperates with Huawei, with OnePlus it is Hasselblad.

But even without the help of Olympus, Samsung will certainly be able to provide excellent pictures and videos with the Galaxy S22 models. However, this is also necessary because Samsung will have to admit defeat to Apple in other areas. The first benchmark results do not allow any other conclusion. Samsung also has to increase sales of the Galaxy S22 after the predecessor was not particularly popular.
Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with quad camera
The Ultra version of the Galaxy S22 will apparently rely on a quadruple camera on the back. The highlight here is a main camera that allows images with up to 108 megapixels and has optical image stabilization. In addition, two zoom cameras are probably used, which ever set to 12 MP. The ultra-wide angle should also have the same resolution.
