Samsung Galaxy S21: Android 12 is in the starting blocks
Google will shortly be releasing the final version of Android 12 and making it available for download for its Pixel smartphones. Samsung has now announced that the Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra will soon also be supplied with Android 12. But first a beta test starts.
Samsung Galaxy S21: Android 12 as beta is pending
While Google will end its beta tests of Android 12 in the coming days and publish the final version of the new operating system, Samsung will only begin this process. In South Korea, the company has now announced that the beta test of Android 12 for the Galaxy S21 series will start shortly (source: Samsung). It is therefore also clear that the Galaxy S21 smartphones will first receive the update to Android 12.
Samsung is likely to carry out the beta test with the Samsung Galaxy S21 for several weeks before the final version is published as an update. The reason for this lies in the new One UI 4.0 interface. This changes Android significantly and has additional functions . Accordingly, Samsung has to make sure that everything works properly. In the background, Samsung has of course been working on the update for a long time. It just takes a little longer because you have to adjust so much.
Of course, Samsung has not revealed exactly when the final version of Android 12 with One UI 4.0 will be distributed for the Galaxy S21 smartphones. If you look at the development of the last few years, the end of November and the beginning of December should be a realistic period.
In the video you can see what changes with Android 12:
Android 12: Beta for Samsung smartphones in other countries too
Even if Samsung initially only announced the beta version of Android 12 in South Korea, the test will also be carried out in other countries . Germany is actually always one of them. You just have to be patient for the beta test to start. After that, support for other countries will be expanded.
