Pixel 6 Pro: Google still has an ace up its sleeve

Google really makes us fidget. The date for the presentation of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro is still not known, although Google is already exhibiting the phone in the shop window of its own store in New York. Now it is known that the display is even better than expected.

Google Pixel 6 Pro is to receive LTPO display

Just yesterday, a lot of information about the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro became public. Now there are new details about the display of the top model that should not be underestimated. We already know that Google relies on a 120 Hz panel with a high resolution of 3,120 x 1,440 pixels. The 120 Hz can actually be used with the maximum resolution . According to the latest information, Google wants to install an LTPO display so that the battery life does not run out too quickly (source: GizChina). LTPO stands for Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide.

Such an LTPO-OLED display is characterized in particular by two special properties. It is particularly bright and very energy efficient . This is exactly why such a display was also expected for the iPhone 13 Pro. We'll find out whether it's built in in a few days when the cell phone is dismantled. It seems like Google doesn't make any compromises with the Pixel 6 Pro. Such a high quality screen will already offer a decisive advantage.

With the many high-quality components, the price of the Google Pixel 6 Pro could also reach new heights. We assume that at least the Pro model will cost over 1,000 euros . It competes against the iPhone 13 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (for testing).

Google is already teasing the Pixel 6 in the video :

When will Google introduce the new Pixel smartphones?

While the final version of Android 12 is expected to be released in early October, it is currently still not known whether Google will also present the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro at the same time. Now even November is speculated. Hopefully it won't take that long.
