Nokia G50: Inexpensive 5G model with a large display

HMD Global has announced the Nokia G50 and is sending it on sale immediately. One of the highlights of the new cell phone concerns the battery, which has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and can be recharged with 18 watts. The manufacturer promises a two-day runtime before the Nokia G50 has to be plugged in again.

The cell phone's LC display has a diagonal of 6.82 inches , but only resolves with HD +. The maximum brightness is given as 450 nits, no comment is made on the refresh rate.

More about the Nokia G50 can be found here in the video :

There is a triple camera on the back of the phone, which allows pictures with up to 48 MP. There is also an ultra wide angle (5 MP) and a depth sensor (2 MP). Selfies via the front camera go up to 8 MP. In rather poor lighting conditions, a "super night selfie mode" should ensure better results.

The processor is the 5G-capable Snapdragon 480 , which can also be found in cheap smartphones from Oppo and OnePlus. In the Nokia G50 he has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of permanent storage at his side. No other variants are offered, but the memory can be expanded by up to 512 GB via a microSD card (source: Nokia). Android 11 is preinstalled. According to HMD Global, security updates are distributed for at least three years and operating system updates for two years.
