Huawei is already testing a new function for the next smartwatch
Huawei recently launched a new Smartwatch with HarmonyOS, the Watch 3 Pro, but development does not stand still. Huawei is already looking for a tester for an important function that should be used in the successor. Samsung already has them.
Huawei smartwatches will soon measure blood pressure
It has long been known that Huawei will introduce a smartwatch that measures blood pressure in the second half of the year. The Huawei Watch 3 Pro has not done so. Even an ECG function is missing there. For the new smartwatch with blood pressure measurement, one is now looking for testers with a wrist circumference of at least 200 mm (source: GizChina). Why this is so important remains open.
What is clear, however, is that Huawei is now entering the hot phase of testing the new smartwatch with blood pressure measurement. The medical tests appear to have been completed. Now you want to make sure that the function works reliably. It remains to be seen whether setting up the blood pressure measurement is just as cumbersome as it is with Samsung . There you have to calibrate the function with a real blood pressure monitor.
For Huawei, expanding the functions of its own smartwatches is essential. Although you now have a new operating system with HarmonyOS, the range of functions of the watches is less than that of the competition, although you even ask for more money. This will not work in the long run , as we found in the Huawei Watch 3 Pro test.

Huawei has even more plans for smartwatches
Measuring blood pressure with the smartwatch is just one of the innovations that Huawei has already announced. In the future, one also wants to measure blood sugar . To do this, the Chinese company wants to develop a non-invasive method that would make life easier for many people. Many other companies are working on a similar solution. This year, Huawei could really step on the gas again so as not to be shaken off completely.
