It is one of the fastest and most advanced public charging stations to date . And it belongs to Wallbox, a company founded in Barcelona that has recently started trading on Wall Street with a valuation close to 1,500 million dollars. During the IAA Mobility Munich show, Hypernova was presented, the new generation of chargers for electric cars from Wallbox and a leap forward to place itself in the first division within the sector.

Hypernova is a charger that promises "to fully charge an electric vehicle in less than 15 minutes", according to Enric Asunción, CEO of Wallbox. It will achieve this thanks to its ability to supply up to 350 kilowatts (kW) , a step up from the 65 kW it currently offered with its Supernova charger.

A reference charger by the end of 2022

Wallbox's public charging station uses software that will adapt to the number of connected electric vehicles , with the intention of optimizing power for use on highways and road networks.

In addition to improving the recharging power, Hypernova stands out for implementing several authentication and payment options, such as RFID, on-screen QR code , and globally accepted credit card reader .
