{Disarmed} Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: No 200 MP camera, but again the S Pen
Samsung fans are already looking forward to the Galaxy S22 series. Presumably the new flagships will be presented sometime in January next year. Rumors about the new devices have been making the rounds for weeks.
From South Korea it is now said that Samsung has set the specifications for the Galaxy S22 series. There will be three models again, the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 + and the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Not really surprising so far.
Again and again you could read that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra could be equipped with a 200 MP camera, possibly even with Olympus branding. But that's not supposed to be the case. Korean media reports that the Galaxy S22 Ultra will be equipped with a 108 MP camera like its predecessor.
There will also be a 12 MP ultra wide angle camera with OIS. A 3D ToF sensor will not be on board. The 40 MP front camera will also be the same as on the Galaxy S21 Ultra. What has already been suspected, Samsung will not rely on the under-display camera technology in its upcoming flagships.
Both the Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22 + will come with the same camera setup. This includes a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and a 50 MP main camera.
It seems that S Pen support for the Galaxy S21 Ultra wasn't a one-off thing. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will also get S Pen support again. The future of the Galaxy Note series seems to have been sealed .
