{Disarmed} Samsung Galaxy S22: New details on the display sizes
After the presentation of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 is already behind us, the next big Galaxy Unpacked event should take place at the beginning of next year. The presentation of the Galaxy S22 series from Samsung is expected there.
Details about the new flagships of the S series have been circulating online for weeks. And there will be more leaks in the next weeks and months, that's for sure. Today new details have surfaced, mostly revolving around the displays of the new flagships.
According to the Korean blog Naver, the Galaxy S22 series will not have a camera under the display. Twitter user Tron (@FrontTron), known for Samsung-related leaks, posted that the technology hasn't advanced enough for mass production.
Given the fact that more people are likely to buy the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, it makes sense that Samsung won't put UDC technology there, as a bad selfie camera won't affect sales.
While Samsung is sticking to the central display hole for the front camera, there is an important change in the size of the displays. The Galaxy S22 will have a screen size of 6.06 ", while the Galaxy S22 + will have a screen size of 6.55". These are smaller than the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 +, which are 6.2 ″ and 6.7 ″ respectively. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra will have a 6.81 ″ display, practically unchanged from the S21 Ultra.
These are all the new details about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S22 series. But there will be more to come in the next few months.
