{Disarmed} Pixel 6 (Pro): Active Edge is making a comeback ?!
More and more information is now seeping through a few weeks before the release of the Google Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. Apparently an old feature is coming back and there are references to accessories for the two upcoming Google Phones.
The Active Edge function has been available on Google smartphones since the second generation of the Pixel. From the Pixel 4a / 4a 5G and Pixel 5, the feature had been deleted again. To now apparently celebrate its comeback in the Pixel 6 range.
With Active Edge it was possible to press the frame and then the Google Assistant or an app that you had set up opened. The fact that the feature could now celebrate a comeback can be seen from the descriptions for the official cases of the two smartphones.
According to the accompanying text, all cases should support Active Edge. The Battery Share feature is also mentioned, so you seem to be sure that the text is not a placeholder.
The Pixel 6 Pro should get covers in the colors Stormy Sky, Light Frost, Golden Glow and Soft Sage, while the colors Stormy Sky, Light Rain and Cotton Candy should be planned for the Pixel 6.
