{Disarmed} Huawei Nova 9 is said to have installed 50 MP (1 / 1.56) RYYB camera
Only this morning there was the first official teaser for the upcoming Huawei Nova 9. Now there is more information about the device, more precisely, about the main camera possibly installed on the back of the device.
The Huawei Nova 9 will hit the market on September 23rd. With this model, the Chinese manufacturer is once again concentrating on the camera. And a tipster has now revealed what kind of main camera the model should have.
So we can expect a 50MP 1 / 1.56 RYYB main camera on the back. It comes as a surprise because Huawei doesn't use RYYB camera sensors in its other smartphones. But the new sensor should certainly provide even better photos.
Huawei is the first smartphone maker to introduce RYYB camera colors. Color mapping was first introduced with the Huawei P30 Pro.
Typically, the camera sensor uses RGB color mapping - two green, one blue, and one red pixels for every four pixels (G, B, R) - to reproduce colors that the human eye can see. An RGGB sensor means that it transmits red, green, and blue light and can be detected by the lens.
RYYB means that the green pixel has been replaced with a yellow pixel that lets through both red and green light. As a result, the amount of incident light has been increased immensely, so that a greatly improved camera can take significantly better photos in poor lighting conditions.
But that's not all, because the RYYB also improves the image quality in daylight and the image sharpness compared to the RGB camera sensors of the previous generation. So we can be curious.
