If you already own a Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, Google Pay is probably one of the features you are looking forward to. When the watches were launched, the contactless payment option was not yet available on the Samsung watches.

For users of Google Pay, the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 series was not supported at launch. An installable app on the watch recently appeared in the Play Store, but the app was never usable. Trying to set up a map just gave an error message.

At some point in the last few days that changed. Google and Samsung seem to have flipped the switch for this feature.

In the past few days, Samsung and Google must have made a decision to finally unlock Google Pay. Because now it is possible to set up Google Pay on the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic and add a card.
