Comparison Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro: we face the new Xiaomi against the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Realme GT, OnePlus 9 Pro and the rest of the high-end

The new Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro are official and, as is usual, here we leave you with the comparison with their main rivals. A reflection of how the high-end Android phones are today and how these new Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro are positioned compared to the flagships of the rest of the brands .

Xiaomi has always been characterized by a very competitive price and that is why at the end of the comparison we will also put mobile phones face to face with their respective costs. A comparison of the technical specifications that will help us to have an approximate idea of where each one is located.

We have pitted the Xiaomi 11T Pro and Xiaomi 11T against the following smartphones:

Design and display

The design of these new Xiaomi Mi 11Ts is quite characteristic, following a rear construction with the camera module in a box that protrudes slightly. It is a design that is repeated in different mobile phones of the competition.

At the screen level, the Xiaomi 11T Pro and 11T opt for an AMOLED flat panel with an aspect of 20: 9 and FullHD + resolution with 2,400 x 1,080 pixels. In this sense, practically all manufacturers repeat with the AMOLED panel and Xiaomi is no exception .

It does fall below models like the Galaxy S21 Ultra or the OPPO Find X3 Pro at the resolution level, staying in FullHD + while there are models with WQHD +. At the refresh rate level, 120 Hz has also been imposed on all models this year.

11T Pro

The main feature of the Xiaomi 11T Pro panel is its image quality, with TrueColor technology and up to 1,000 nits of brightness . Regarding the construction of OLED panels, little by little they have been improving their quality and since this summer there are models with really convincing panels. Thanks to this level of brightness they can offer compatibility with HDR10 +, as is the case with the S21 Ultra or the iPhone 13 Pro .

Regarding the battery, the Xiaomi 11T Pro is ahead of practically all the competitors, being the only one to reach 120W , including an adapted charger in the box and offering a dual-cell charging technology to optimize recharging. The Xiaomi 11T itself with its 67W is considerably faster than models like the OPPO Find X3 Pro or the Sony Xperia 1 III and equals others like the Realme GT.

In contrast, they are not compatible with wireless charging when many of their competitors do offer that option . Its 5,000 mAh battery is also slightly ahead of most competitors, but there are a few models like the S21 Ultra that offer that level.

Due to their technical specifications we have two really benchmark mobiles, although at the design level they could have been more compact. Among the justification we have that a steam chamber is included in the Pro model to improve cooling, but models such as OnePlus or Huawei are lighter and thinner . In its favor it has to incorporate the Gorilla Glass Victus glass, but they do not have IP68 resistance.

Processor and connectivity

Xiaomi

Except for the Huawei P50 Pro which has a 4G version with Qualcomm's processor, all of today's flagships already offer 5G connectivity. It is also common to find the Snapdragon 888 processor . There are no surprises here.

To differentiate one model from another we can go to the RAM, where it is offered up to 12 GB LPDDR5 or even 16 GB in the Samsung Ultra. It is also in this section where it is noted that the Xiaomi 11T model is more humble, by betting on 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM.

At the storage level, beyond the iPhone 13 Pro Max that reaches 1TB, it is difficult to see so much memory in a smartphone. In the case of the 11T Pro it stays at 256 GB, without offering a 512 GB version at the moment as other high-end ones do.

At the connectivity level, except for exceptions such as the OPPO that comes with Bluetooth 5.0, all already offer version 5.2. Although there are no big changes in it. They do include WiFi 6 and usually offer integrated fingerprint readers. Not so in the Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro, where the fingerprint reader is lateral.

The sound is another of the highlights, mainly in the Xiaomi 11T Pro where its dual speakers with Dolby Atmos are signed by Harman Kardon . Here each manufacturer usually associates with other specialized brands to try to give value to their terminal. Xiaomi has chosen Harman Kardon.

Cameras

Camera

There are manufacturers that choose to bet on more compact sensors, being the case of Google, Sony or Apple and there are other manufacturers that continue with the megapixel war, such as Samsung or Xiaomi . The Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro reach 108 megapixels in their main sensor. The two models offer an equivalent photographic section.

The secondary sensor in the new models is an 8 megapixel wide angle with a 120 degree field and a third telemacro sensor for 2x optical zoom. At the recording level, these new Xiaomi 11T and 11T Pro record in 4K HDR10 + .

While the main sensor can be in a good position by its numbers, the wide-angle ones fall behind options such as the OnePlus 9 Pro, the OPPO Find X3 Pro or the Huawei P50 Pro. Phones that even add a fourth specialized sensor.

In the front camera, Xiaomi bets on a 20 megapixel sensor in the Pro model and 16 megapixels in the 11T, lagging behind the huge 40 megapixels of the S21 Ultra or models like the Sony Xperia 1 III that add a lens with a greater openness.

Price

Undoubtedly the factor that will tip the balance for many is the price. The Xiaomi 11T Pro starts at 649 euros for the 128 GB model and 699 euros for the 256 GB one. If we look at this last storage, we see that its rivals normally amount to 1,000 euros, with exceptions such as the Realme GT that stays at 599 euros. As always happens when we compare high-end mobiles, it is difficult to discern to what extent the user is willing to pay considerably more for different constructions and small factors.
