The long wait for the stable version of Android 12 could be over in three weeks. Google will most likely roll out the next version of Android for the Pixel smartphones in early October.
An internal Google document shows that the company will release the source code for Android 12 for the AOSP (Android Open Project) on October 4th. The AOSP release is usually the same day that Google gives the go-ahead for a new version of Android to be released.
A screenshot of the document shows the roadmap for Google's plans. More importantly, the document also reveals when the search engine giant will release the source code for Android 12.
The launch of Android 12 comes later than its predecessors. For comparison: Android 10 was released on September 3, 2019, while Android 11 was officially launched on September 8, 2020.
