{Disarmed} Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max presented: high-end streaming for 64.99 euros
Amazon today announced the latest version of its Fire TV Stick. The new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max is the company's "best streaming stick to date". The company claims it's 40 percent more powerful than the Fire TV Stick 4K and has a new 1.8 GHz quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM.
The older version had a 1.7 GHz processor, but also 2 GB of RAM. The most important change, however, is the fact that the new Fire TV Stick supports 4K Max WiFi 6 connectivity, which allows it to take full advantage of more modern WiFi routers.
The new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max uses the MediaTek MT7921LS chipset to connect to WiFi 6 networks. Amazon says this will allow "smoother streaming in 4K". The new Fire TV 4K Max also supports HDR and HDR10 + streaming, along with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The Alexa voice remote control is also supported.
The stick has integrated hot buttons for Amazon's own video streaming service - Prime Video - but it also allows users to access Netflix, Disney + and Amazon Music directly at the touch of a button.
The new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max can be pre-ordered on Amazon from today at a price of EUR 64.99. It will be delivered to customers from October 7th.
