WhatsApp: New restriction becomes known
Meanwhile, some weed has grown over the story of WhatsApp's new terms of use. It has now been announced that there will indeed be a restriction. WhatsApp seems to have found a good compromise, however.
WhatsApp: Restrictions on communication with companies
Those who have not yet agreed to WhatsApp's new terms of use, like me, no longer have to expect severe consequences. The outcry was big enough that WhatsApp rowed back. So you can continue to send messages to everyone and are only regularly annoyed with the fact that you have to agree to the terms of use. But now there is a small restriction (source: WABetaInfo). It's about communication with companies.
WhatsApp should therefore soon announce that the new terms of use apply, but you do not have to agree and then you can no longer communicate with company accounts. So if you want to contact the support of a company via WhatsApp, you will not be able to do so if you have not agreed to the terms of use.
If you still want to start a conversation, a message will be displayed. There you can find out about the new terms of use and, if necessary, agree to it. Then you can get in touch.
If you only communicate privately with your friends and family, however, you will still be able to use WhatsApp without restrictions, even if you do not agree to the new terms of use. Every now and then you only get the message that you should please agree. However, as before, this can be clicked away without any problems.

WhatsApp soon with multi-device support
Soon you will also be able to use WhatsApp on several devices at the same time with just one number. The function is currently still in beta testing , but should appear in the foreseeable future. WhatsApp also wants to publish real tablet apps in line with this. So there is a lot going on with the messenger.
