Jabra Elite 7 Pro: Jabra's new TWS arrive loaded with sensors to improve call clarity

Important day today for Jabra. The company has launched nothing more and nothing less than three headphones, the most powerful and interesting being the Jabra Elite 7 Pro . They are TWS headphones that stand out for incorporating Jabra Multisensor Voice technology and active noise cancellation.

The other models are the Jabra Elite 7 Active , which are similar to the previous ones, but without Multisensor Voice and with a ShakeGrip coating designed to improve grip and prevent falls due to movement; and the Jabra Elite 3 , which are simpler and have the privilege of being the cheapest headphones in the company. We will focus on the first and review the main characteristics of the other two.

Jabra Elite 7 Pro - more compact and made for calls

Jabra Elite 7 Pro

As we said, the most powerful headphones that Jabra has presented today are the Jabra Elite 7 Pro. They are the spiritual successors of the Jabra Elite 85t and, as such, it has a design that is reminiscent of them. They are somewhat more compact (16% smaller than the Jabra Elite 75t) and, according to the company, have been designed to be ergonomic and better fit the ear.

Spread throughout its chassis we have four microphones, a bone conduction sensor and a voice pick-up sensor . These not only serve for active noise cancellation, which we will talk about later, but to bring Multisensor Voice technology to life.

What is this technology about? Combining the bone conduction sensor, the four microphones, the voice pickup sensor, and a number of algorithms, the headphones promise to improve call quality .

Jabra1

In short, the algorithms analyze the types of noise picked up by the microphones; the voice pickup sensor is activated when it detects wind and the bone conduction sensor transmits the voice through the vibrations of the jaw. Subsequently, an algorithm uses the "best combination" of the bone conduction sensor and the microphones to transmit the voice with better quality.

On the other hand, active noise cancellation can be customized by creating different profiles (something we already know from the Jabra Elite 85t). They also have a HearTrough function , so we can enhance the voice of our interlocutors to hear it even if we do not remove the headphones.

According to Jabra, the headphones are capable of offering up to nine hours of autonomy with the ANC activated

As for the battery, the company has not revealed its capacity, but assures that they are capable of offering up to nine hours of autonomy with the ANC activated and 35 hours in total with the case. They also have a fast charging system that promises just over an hour of autonomy in five minutes.

For the rest, the headphones use Bluetooth 5.2 , can be used independently, have multiple connection (something that will come with an update) and are compatible with voice assistants (namely Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant, the latter only on mobiles Android).

Jabra Elite 7 Active

The Jabra Elite 7 Active , meanwhile, are exactly the same as the Jabra Elite 7 Pro, only they lack Multisensor Voice technology. Thus, they have adjustable noise cancellation and HearTrough mode. The difference is that the Jabra Elite 7 Active have a ShakeGrip coating .

As the name suggests, the Jabra Elite 7 Active are for users with a more active lifestyle. ShakeGrip lining is designed to "provide the best fit regardless of movement ." In addition, they have a mesh over the microphone that serves to eliminate the wind in the calls.

Jabra Elite 3

Jabra Elite 3

And so we come to the Jabra Elite 3 , which are the company's cheapest headphones. They are, as Jabra itself describes them, an entry-level headset. They have six-millimeter drivers, four microphones to improve voice in calls, HearTrought mode, seven hours of autonomy (plus 28 with the case) and compatibility with Qualcomm aptX HD .

Jabra Elite 7 Pro, Elite 7 Active and Elite 3 versions and pricing

The Jabra Elite 7 Pro and Elite 7 Active will be available from October 1 for € 199.99 and € 179.99, respectively. The Jabra Elite 3 , meanwhile, will hit the market on September 1 and its price will be 79.99 euros.
